Olaplex Nº.3 Hair Perfector® for Damaged Hair

Olaplex Nº.3 Hair Perfector® is a pre shampoo hair treatment designed for strengthening and repairing damaged hair. It uses OLAPLEX Bond Building Technology® to work within the hair structure and help relink broken disulfide bonds caused by chemical processing, heat styling and other forms of damage.

Unlike a regular conditioner or hair mask, this is a treatment you apply before shampooing. It can be useful if your hair feels weak, dry, brittle or overworked from colouring, bleaching, straightening or frequent heat styling. It is also suitable for different hair types and textures, so you do not need severely damaged hair to use it.

Benefits

• Helps strengthen damaged hair as part of a regular haircare routine
• Supports repair of broken disulfide bonds within the hair structure
• Suitable for all hair types and textures
• Useful for hair affected by colouring, chemical treatments and heat styling
• Can be used on its own without Nº.0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment
• Does not contain protein
• Works as a pre shampoo treatment rather than a leave in conditioner

Detailed Product Overview

The main feature of Nº.3 Hair Perfector® is OLAPLEX Bond Building Technology®. According to OLAPLEX, the technology works within the cortex of the hair to relink broken disulfide bonds, helping strengthen the hair from the inside out. This makes the product particularly relevant for hair that has experienced repeated chemical or mechanical stress.

One useful distinction is that Nº.3 is not a deep conditioner. Its purpose is strengthening and reparative care before shampooing, while your regular conditioner can still be used afterwards for softness, hydration and easier detangling.

It is also a protein free formula, which can be useful for customers who prefer to avoid protein based hair treatments.

For a complete OLAPLEX routine, you can follow the treatment with Olaplex Nº.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and Olaplex Nº.5 Bond Maintenance® Conditioner.

Texture, Finish and Real Life Experience

Nº.3 is designed to be applied to wet hair and saturated through the lengths before washing. Since it is rinsed out and followed by shampoo and conditioner, it is not intended to leave a heavy styling residue or provide the same conditioning finish as a traditional hair mask.

The practical difference is in how the treatment fits into a routine. You apply it before your normal wash rather than replacing your conditioner with it. OLAPLEX states that it can be left on for as little as 3 minutes, with up to 10 minutes recommended for maximum benefits. Leaving it on overnight does not provide additional benefit and is not recommended.

Who Is It For?

Nº.3 Hair Perfector® can be a good choice for:

• Coloured or bleached hair
• Hair regularly exposed to heat styling
• Dry, brittle or weakened lengths
• Hair affected by chemical processing
• Anyone wanting a strengthening treatment alongside their normal shampoo and conditioner
• Different hair textures, including straight, wavy, curly and coily hair

If your main concern is simply softness, moisture or detangling, a conditioner or moisture focused mask may be more directly suited to your needs. Nº.3 should not be treated as a replacement for conditioner.

Why Customers Choose This Product

The biggest reason to choose Nº.3 is its specific role in a hair repair routine. Instead of simply coating the hair to make it feel temporarily smoother, OLAPLEX positions this treatment around bond building within the hair structure. It can therefore complement, rather than replace, conditioning products.

It is especially practical for people who regularly colour, bleach, straighten or heat style their hair and want a dedicated strengthening step without changing their entire routine.

How To Use

Wet the hair thoroughly before shampooing.
Apply Nº.3 Hair Perfector® from roots to ends, making sure the hair is well saturated.
Leave it on for 3 to 10 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly.
Shampoo with your regular shampoo.
Follow with conditioner.

For more damaged hair, OLAPLEX says Nº.3 can be used more than once a week when additional repair is needed. You do not need to leave it overnight to get better results.

Expert tip: Think of Nº.3 as your treatment step, not your conditioner. For a more complete routine, use it before shampoo and follow with a suitable conditioner afterwards.
