Brighten Blonde Hair Without Losing Its Tone

OLAPLEX Nº.4P Blonde Enhancer™ Purple Toning Shampoo is a concentrated purple shampoo designed for natural or color treated blonde hair and grey hair. Its violet toning agents help neutralize unwanted yellow and brassy tones, making blonde shades look brighter and more evenly toned.

What makes this more than a basic purple shampoo is its combination of toning and hair care. The formula is designed to gently cleanse while supporting softness, shine and stronger, more resilient hair. It is especially useful when blonde hair starts looking warm, dull or brassy between salon appointments.

Benefits

• Neutralizes unwanted yellow and brassy tones
• Helps brighten blonde and grey hair
• Cleanses without sulfates or SLS/SLES
• Supports softer, shinier looking hair
• Helps reinforce hair bonds and address everyday damage
• Suitable for natural and color treated blonde hair and grey hair
• Suitable for straight, wavy, curly and coily hair
• Color safe and suitable for chemically treated hair
• Vegan and free from protein, silicones, parabens and phthalates

Detailed Product Overview

The key feature is its violet toning agents, which work by visually counteracting unwanted yellow tones in blonde and grey hair. This makes Nº.4P particularly useful for maintaining a cooler, cleaner looking blonde between coloring or salon visits.

The formula also contains bis aminopropyl diglycol dimaleate, an OLAPLEX ingredient used in its bond building approach, along with glycerin and betaine. Coconut oil derived surfactants help create the cleansing lather.

It is a highly concentrated formula, and OLAPLEX states that the 250ml size can provide up to 100 applications based on an average 2.5ml application.

The shampoo is free from protein, silicones, sulfates, SLS/SLES, phthalates, phosphates, MIC/MIT and parabens. Ingredients can change, so the packaging should always be checked for the most current ingredient list.

Texture, Finish and Real Life Experience

This is a purple toning shampoo rather than a regular everyday shampoo intended for everyone. The main visible purpose is tone correction. If your blonde hair has developed yellow or brassy warmth, regular use can help maintain a brighter, more balanced appearance.

The formula creates a hydrating lather and is designed to leave hair feeling soft after cleansing. OLAPLEX recommends processing it for two minutes before rinsing.

The scent has a fresh citrus character with grapefruit zest, sugared mint and ginger, followed by crushed sage.

Who Is It For?

Ideal for:

• Natural blonde hair
• Bleached or highlighted blonde hair
• Grey hair
• Blonde balayage and other color treated blonde shades
• Straight, wavy, curly or coily hair
• Fine hair across different porosity levels

This is a good choice if your main concern is brassy blonde hair, unwanted yellow tones or maintaining a cooler blonde appearance.

It may not be the right choice if you have dark, untreated hair and are simply looking for a regular strengthening shampoo. A purple toning shampoo is most relevant when there is enough blonde, lightened or grey hair for violet pigments to affect the visible tone.

Why Customers Choose Nº.4P

A major reason to choose Nº.4P is that it combines purple toning with OLAPLEX’s hair care focused formula. Instead of treating toning and cleansing as completely separate steps, it is designed to help maintain blonde tone while cleansing and supporting the condition of the hair.

For a complete toning routine, you can pair it with OLAPLEX Nº.5P Blonde Enhancer™ Toning Conditioner 250 ml after shampooing.

How To Use

Wet the hair thoroughly.
Apply a generous amount of Nº.4P to the hair.
Lather evenly.
Leave on for 2 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly.
Follow with OLAPLEX Nº.5P Blonde Enhancer™ Toning Conditioner for the recommended toning system.

Practical tip: Because this is highly concentrated, start with the recommended two minute processing time rather than leaving it on longer in an attempt to get faster toning.

Wear gloves during use and avoid contact with the eyes. OLAPLEX also recommends a preliminary skin test according to its directions because the product may cause irritation in some individuals.

A Practical Pairing for Damaged Blonde Hair

If your blonde hair is not only brassy but also feels weakened from bleaching or chemical processing, you can incorporate OLAPLEX Nº.0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment into your broader hair care routine. It serves a different purpose from Nº.4P, so it should be viewed as a treatment step rather than a replacement for the purple shampoo.

For Bangladesh’s hot and humid climate, blonde hair can be especially frustrating to maintain when you are trying to keep the color looking fresh between salon visits. Nº.4P is most useful when the specific issue is unwanted yellow or brassy warmth rather than simply dryness or frizz.
