Detailed Product Overview

Nº.5 is a bond maintenance conditioner rather than a basic conditioner that only focuses on surface softness. Its formula contains Olaplex’s Bis Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate, along with conditioning ingredients such as Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Cetrimonium Chloride and Behentrimonium Chloride.

The formula also includes Glycerin and Panthenol, which help support hair hydration. Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid and a selection of plant derived oils and extracts are also included in the ingredient list.

The conditioner is described by Olaplex as highly concentrated, so you do not need a large amount for each wash. The brand estimates up to 40 applications from 100ml and up to 100 applications from 250ml when using an average 5ml application.

Texture, Finish and Real Life Experience

The formula has a rich, creamy conditioning texture designed to provide good slip through the hair. This is particularly useful if your hair tends to knot after shampooing or feels rough when wet.

After rinsing, the goal is softer, smoother and more manageable hair rather than a heavy coated feeling. It can be a practical choice for medium to coarse hair that needs more conditioning support, especially when regular coloring, chemical treatments or everyday styling leave the lengths feeling less smooth.

For Bangladesh’s humid weather, smoother and more manageable hair can also make everyday styling easier. However, if your hair is very fine or easily weighed down, you may prefer a lighter conditioner designed specifically for fine hair.

Who Is It For?

Olaplex Nº.5 is a good match for:

Medium to coarse hair
Straight, wavy, curly or coily hair
Dry or rough lengths
Hair that tangles easily
Chemically treated or color treated hair
Hair that needs more softness and manageability

It is available for all hair porosity levels according to Olaplex.

If you have very fine hair and mainly struggle with loss of volume, a lighter volumizing conditioner may be a better fit.

Why Customers Choose Nº.5

The main reason to choose Nº.5 is that it combines conditioning, hydration, detangling and bond maintenance in one rinse out product. It is also a convenient option if you want a more concentrated conditioner and prefer using a smaller amount per wash.

For someone already using Olaplex products, pairing it with Nº.4 creates the brand’s classic daily wash system. If your main concern is intense hydration and you want a more treatment focused step, you can also use it alongside the Olaplex Rich Hydration Mask 200ml as part of a broader haircare routine.

How To Use

Shampoo your hair first, ideally with Nº.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo.
Apply a small amount of Nº.5 to the mid lengths and ends.
Leave it on for 1 to 3 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly.
Avoid contact with the eyes.

Expert tip: Start with a small amount because this is a concentrated formula. You can always add more if your hair is long or particularly thick.
