Detailed Product Overview

OLAPLEX Nº.7 Bonding Oil is more than a conventional finishing oil. Its formula combines conditioning and smoothing ingredients with OLAPLEX’s bond building technology to help improve the appearance and feel of styled hair. The formula contains dimethicone, isohexadecane, coco caprylate, sunflower seed oil, tocopherol and other conditioning ingredients. OLAPLEX also identifies coconut derived emollient, Vitamin E and sunflower seed oil as part of the formula’s blend.

The silicones are an important part of the experience. They help create slip, smooth the hair surface and give the hair a more polished appearance. This makes the oil particularly useful when you want smooth, shiny hair without applying a large amount of product.

It is also designed to work with colored and chemically treated hair. However, it is still a styling oil rather than a replacement for shampoo, conditioner or a deeper hair treatment.

For a complete OLAPLEX routine, you can pair it with OLAPLEX Nº.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and OLAPLEX Nº.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner. For hair that needs a richer conditioning step, OLAPLEX Rich Hydration Mask 200ml can be considered as part of the routine.

Texture, Finish and Real Life Experience

The formula is concentrated and lightweight, so you only need 2 to 3 drops for application. On damp hair, it can be used before styling, while dry hair can benefit from a small amount after styling for additional shine and smoothness.

In Bangladesh’s humid weather, frizz and flyaways can become more noticeable, particularly after blow drying or heat styling. The oil’s smoothing and humidity resistance properties make it useful when the goal is a sleeker, more polished finish. OLAPLEX states that the product provides 72 hour frizz control and humidity resistance.

Because it is concentrated, using too much can make the hair look overly coated, especially if your hair is very fine or naturally oily. Starting with one or two drops and adding more only when needed is a sensible approach.

Who Is It For?

OLAPLEX Nº.7 Bonding Oil is a good choice for:

Straight, wavy, curly or coily hair
Dry looking or dull lengths and ends
Frizzy hair and flyaways
Chemically treated or color treated hair
Hair that is regularly exposed to heat styling
Anyone who wants more shine without using a heavy oil

It may be less suitable if you prefer completely oil free styling products or if your very fine hair becomes weighed down easily. In that case, use a smaller amount and keep the application focused on the mid lengths and ends rather than the roots.

Why Customers Choose It

The biggest practical advantage is the combination of shine, smoothing and heat protection in a highly concentrated formula. Instead of needing a separate finishing oil and heat protectant for every styling session, Nº.7 can fit into the routine before heat styling and again after styling when additional shine is wanted.

It is also a useful option for people who want a polished, glossy finish but do not enjoy the greasy feel associated with some traditional hair oils.

How To Use

Turn the bottle upside down.
Gently tap the bottom of the bottle with your index finger to dispense a controlled drop.
Apply 2 to 3 drops to damp or dry hair.
Distribute mainly through the lengths and ends.
Style as desired.

It can be used daily and applied before heat styling or after styling for extra shine and smoothness.

Expert tip: Start with less than you think you need. You can always add another drop, but using too much oil at once can make fine or low density hair look flat.
