OUAI Fine To Medium Hair Treatment Masque

Fine to medium hair can need extra moisture and repair, but overly rich hair masks may leave it feeling flat or weighed down. OUAI Fine To Medium Hair Treatment Masque is designed specifically for fine to medium strands that feel dry, damaged, frizzy or lacking shine. Its formula combines shea butter, panthenol and hydrolyzed keratin with conditioning ingredients to help hair feel softer, smoother and more manageable after treatment.

It is a useful option if you want the deeper conditioning of a hair mask while still looking for a formula intended for finer hair types.

Benefits

• Helps restore hydration to dry hair
• Helps smooth frizz and improve manageability
• Supports the feel of stronger, healthier looking hair
• Adds softness and shine
• Designed for fine to medium hair
• Takes only 5 minutes to use
• Leaves the hair conditioned without the heavy feel associated with some richer masks

Detailed Product Overview

The formula contains shea butter, panthenol and hydrolyzed keratin, along with hydrolyzed rice, corn, yeast and vegetable proteins. Shea butter provides conditioning and softness, while panthenol is a humectant commonly used in haircare to help support moisture. The formula also includes conditioning agents and amodimethicone, which can help improve smoothness, detangling and the feel of damaged strands.

This is not simply a basic conditioner. It is intended as a more intensive treatment for fine to medium hair, particularly when the lengths feel dry, rough or frizzy. However, a hair mask cannot permanently repair split ends. It can improve the cosmetic feel and appearance of damaged hair, making strands feel smoother and more conditioned.

The product is also paraben free, cruelty free, gluten free, phthalate free and free from SLS and SLES, according to OUAI.

Texture, Finish and Real Life Experience

The treatment is designed to provide substantial conditioning without being positioned as a heavy mask for thick hair. After rinsing, the main benefit to expect is softer, smoother and more manageable hair with added shine.

It can be especially useful for hair exposed to regular heat styling, colouring or other processes that leave the lengths feeling dry. In Bangladesh’s humid weather, the smoothing and conditioning benefits can also be useful when frizz and flyaways become more noticeable.

The masque has OUAI’s Melrose Place fragrance, with top notes of champagne, pink peppercorn, berry and lychee, followed by peony, rose, freesia, jasmine and bergamot. The base includes amber, sandalwood, white musk and cedarwood.

Who Is It For?

Ideal for:

• Fine to medium hair
• Dry or damaged lengths
• Hair that feels rough or lacks softness
• Frizzy or difficult to manage hair
• Hair that needs additional conditioning and shine
• People who want a short 5 minute hair treatment

If your hair is very thick or extremely coarse, you may prefer a richer treatment specifically formulated for thick hair. OUAI itself separates its treatment masks by hair type, so choosing according to strand thickness makes sense.

If your scalp becomes oily quickly, apply the masque mainly through the lengths and ends rather than concentrating product at the roots.

Why Customers Choose This Product

The main appeal is the combination of targeted hair type selection and intensive conditioning. Instead of choosing a generic deep conditioning mask, you can choose a treatment made specifically for fine to medium strands.

The five minute processing time also makes it practical for regular wash days when you want more conditioning than a standard conditioner can provide without adding a complicated haircare step.

How To Use

Shampoo and rinse your hair with warm water.
Remove excess water so the hair is damp rather than dripping wet.
Apply approximately a quarter size amount, starting from the ends and working toward the roots.
Distribute evenly using your fingers or a wide tooth comb.
Leave it on for 5 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly with cool water.

Expert tip: If your roots become oily easily, focus the masque on the mid lengths and ends. Fine hair usually needs less product than you might expect, so start with a small amount and add more only where needed.

Will it be too heavy for fine hair?
It is specifically formulated for fine to medium hair, making it a more suitable choice than a heavy mask intended for thick hair. Still, using too much product can make finer strands feel less airy.

Can it help with frizz in humid weather?
The formula is designed to condition hair and help fight frizz, so it can be useful when humidity makes the lengths feel rough or unruly.

Is the fragrance noticeable?
Melrose Place has a floral, fruity and woody fragrance profile, so this is worth considering if you prefer lightly scented or fragrance free haircare.
