P.Louise Eyeshadow Base

If you want your eyeshadow to look more vibrant, defined and polished, P.Louise Eyeshadow Base is a dedicated eye primer designed to create a smooth base before eyeshadow application. Its creamy, tacky texture helps eyeshadow grip onto the lid while giving you a more even surface for blending and building colour. P.Louise describes the formula as quick drying and suitable for both everyday eye makeup and more detailed artistry.

At Taupe Notch, this base is available in Rumour 0, Rumour 0.5 and Rumour 02, giving you options depending on how light or defined you want your eye base to look.

Detailed Product Overview

P.Louise Rumour Eyeshadow Base is formulated with ingredients including water, isododecane, dimethicone, propylene glycol, cyclopentasiloxane, butylene glycol, ethylhexyl palmitate, hydrogenated polydecene, polymethylsilsesquioxane and silica. The formula also contains parfum and may contain titanium dioxide and yellow iron oxide depending on the shade.

The combination gives the base its creamy, tacky character rather than the dry, powdery feel of a traditional eyeshadow primer. In practical use, that makes it particularly useful when you want eyeshadow to appear more intense instead of getting lost against the natural tone of the eyelid.

It is also more than a basic primer. P.Louise lists uses including priming the lid, creating a cut crease, carving the brows, brightening the under eye, cream contouring and creative lip or body makeup.

Texture, Finish and Real Life Experience

The texture is creamy and tacky, and the brand states that it dries down quickly. This makes it useful for creating a controlled base before placing eyeshadow.

For colourful or highly pigmented eye looks, a light, even layer can help the shades look more vivid. For a cut crease, the base can also be placed more precisely to create a defined area for eyeshadow.

In Bangladesh’s warm and humid climate, application technique matters. Avoid using an unnecessarily thick layer, especially if your eyelids naturally become oily. A thin, even application is generally easier to work with and allows the eyeshadow to blend without an overly heavy base.

Who Is It For?

This eye base is especially suitable for:

Makeup lovers who want stronger eyeshadow colour
Anyone who enjoys colourful, glam or detailed eye looks
Makeup artists creating cut crease or editorial style looks
People who want a dedicated base instead of applying concealer as an eyeshadow primer
Anyone who wants to use one product for several makeup techniques

If you prefer a completely dry, non tacky eye primer, this creamy base may feel different from what you are used to. Very oily eyelids may also require careful application and appropriate setting depending on the desired eye look.

Why Customers Choose This Product

One of the main reasons to choose P.Louise Eyeshadow Base is its versatility. You can use it simply as an eyeshadow primer, or use the same base when creating a cut crease, cleaning up brows or brightening selected areas.

It is also available in several Rumour shades, so you can choose the base that works best with your preferred eye makeup style rather than relying on one universal shade. The official product page currently lists the base in 15 ml and 30 ml sizes.

For a complete eye look, you can pair the base with an eyeshadow palette such as P. Louise Breakfast Bites All-In-One Makeup Palette - Best Served Cold. For finishing the under eye, P. Louise Under-Eye Brightening Powder can be used separately to set and brighten the concealer area.

How To Use

Start with clean, dry eyelids.
Take a small amount of P.Louise Eyeshadow Base.
Apply a thin, even layer across the eyelid using a brush or your preferred application method.
Blend and shape the base according to the eye look you are creating.
For a cut crease, use the base precisely where you want to define the crease.
Apply eyeshadow over the base and build the intensity gradually.
Use a smaller amount when working around the brow or under eye area.

Expert tip: Start with less product. Because the base has a creamy and tacky consistency, applying a thin layer gives you more control over the eyeshadow and makes detailed blending easier.
