Revolution Matte Fix Oil Control Setting Spray

If your makeup starts looking shiny around the T zone after a few hours, Revolution Matte Fix Oil Control Setting Spray is designed specifically for that concern. This lightweight setting spray helps reduce the appearance of surface shine while setting foundation and eye makeup with a natural matte finish. Revolution states that it helps maintain a just applied makeup appearance for up to 12 hours.

For Bangladesh’s warm and humid weather, a matte setting spray can be particularly useful when your main concern is excess shine rather than adding more glow to the skin.

Detailed Product Overview

Revolution Matte Fix Oil Control Setting Spray is a finishing spray made for makeup wearers who prefer a more controlled, matte looking complexion. Its formula contains film forming ingredients such as AMP Acrylates/Allyl Methacrylate Copolymer, which helps create the setting layer over makeup. It also contains Propylene Glycol, PEG 12 Dimethicone, Tocopheryl Acetate, Aloe Vera, Panthenol, Sorbitol and Sunflower Seed Oil.

The formula also contains Alcohol Denat. high in the ingredient list. This is relevant if you know your skin is sensitive to alcohol based cosmetic formulas, so checking the complete ingredient list before purchase is a sensible step.

Importantly, this is an oil control and matte setting spray, not a hydrating or illuminating mist. If you prefer a radiant finish, a product such as Revolution Glow Fix Illuminating Setting Spray may suit your preference better.

Texture, Finish and Real Life Experience

The spray is designed to feel lightweight rather than adding another heavy layer over your foundation. Once applied and allowed to dry, it is intended to help keep the makeup looking more controlled and less shiny.

The natural matte finish makes it particularly relevant for oily and combination skin, especially when the forehead, nose or chin tends to become shiny during the day. In humid Bangladeshi weather, it can be useful as the final step when you want to reduce visible shine, although no setting spray can completely prevent makeup from changing throughout a hot, sweaty day.

If your skin is very dry or you prefer a dewy, skin like finish, a matte setting spray may make your complexion look less luminous than you prefer.

Who Is It For?

Ideal for:

Oily skin
Combination skin
Makeup wearers who experience excess T zone shine
People who prefer matte or natural matte makeup
Everyday makeup in warm and humid weather
Long makeup days, parties and occasions

Consider something else if:

You have very dry skin and prefer a dewy finish
Your main priority is hydration or glow
Your skin is sensitive to Alcohol Denat. and you prefer to avoid it in setting sprays

For another matte option, you can also compare it with NYX Makeup Setting Spray Matte. If your priority is a very lightweight microfine mist with a natural looking finish rather than specifically focusing on matte oil control, L'Oréal 3 Second Setting Mist With Microfine Up To 36H Wear is another option to consider.

Why Customers Choose This Product

The main appeal is its straightforward focus on shine control plus makeup setting. Rather than choosing an illuminating spray when your skin already becomes oily, this formula is designed around a more matte looking result.

It can be especially practical for someone who wants their foundation and eye makeup to look freshly applied for longer without intentionally adding extra glow.

How To Use

Complete your makeup routine first.
Shake the bottle if needed before application.
Hold the bottle at a comfortable distance from your face.
Close your eyes and mist evenly across the finished makeup.
Allow the spray to dry naturally.
Avoid touching your face until the setting spray has dried.

Expert tip: If you have combination skin, concentrate on applying an even mist over the areas where makeup needs setting rather than repeatedly soaking the face. Using too much setting spray does not necessarily mean better wear.
