SHEGLAM Melt Touch Ultra Hydrating Primer

If your makeup tends to catch on dry patches or your skin feels tight before foundation, the SHEGLAM Melt Touch Ultra Hydrating Primer is designed with that kind of base in mind. It is a skincare focused makeup primer with a buttery cream texture that melts into the skin, combining the feel of a moisturizer with the prep of a primer. The formula contains squalane, shea butter, hyaluronic acid and multiple ceramides, making it particularly interesting for anyone who wants hydration and a fresh looking makeup base.

Detailed Product Overview

The formula is built around a combination of moisturizing and skin conditioning ingredients. Squalane and shea butter give the primer its richer, nourishing character, while glycerin and several forms of hyaluronic acid support the formula’s hydrating feel. The ingredient list also includes Ceramide NP, Ceramide NG and Ceramide AP, alongside hydrogenated lecithin and phytosterols.

This is what makes Melt Touch different from a typical pore blurring or mattifying primer. It is more focused on making the skin feel comfortably moisturized and creating a supple base for makeup. If your main concern is visible pores or excess shine, a dedicated smoothing primer may be a better match.

The product is listed in White and has a cream texture. Other product listings identify the size as 30 ml and the finish as Natural.

Texture, Finish and Real Life Experience

The texture is described as buttery and designed to melt on contact with the skin. Rather than feeling like a thin gel primer, it has more of a moisturizer like character. Once spread evenly, it is intended to leave the complexion hydrated without a greasy finish.

For Bangladesh’s warm and humid climate, the amount you use matters. Dry skin may appreciate a slightly more generous layer, while combination or oily skin can start with a small amount, particularly around the cheeks and other dry areas. Applying too much rich base product can make subsequent makeup feel heavier, so a thin, even layer is usually the more practical approach.

Who Is It For?

This primer is worth considering if you have:

Dry or dehydrated skin that looks uneven under foundation
Normal skin that prefers a more moisturized makeup base
Combination skin with dry areas
A preference for fresh, naturally radiant looking makeup
Foundation that tends to emphasize flaky or rough looking areas

It may be less suitable if your main goal is strong oil control, a completely matte finish or intensive pore blurring. In those cases, you may prefer a more targeted primer such as SHEGLAM Camera On Smooth & Blur Primer or SHEGLAM Pore No More Primer.

If hydration and makeup grip are more important to you, the SHEGLAM Good Grip Hydrating Primer is another option to compare.

Why Customers Choose This Primer

The main appeal is its combination of primer and skincare style hydration. Instead of choosing a very matte base and trying to add moisture underneath, Melt Touch is designed around a richer, comfortable prep step.

It is especially appealing for makeup looks where you want skin to retain a fresh, healthy appearance rather than looking overly powdered or flat.

How To Use

Start with clean, moisturized skin.
Take a small amount of Melt Touch Ultra Hydrating Primer.
Apply an even, thin layer across the face.
Gently blend until the cream sits comfortably on the skin.
Give it a moment to settle.
Follow with foundation, skin tint, concealer or your usual base makeup.

For combination skin, try concentrating the primer on drier areas instead of applying a thick layer across the entire T zone.

If your foundation usually looks dry, patchy or emphasizes texture, a hydrating primer can make the overall base look more comfortable and even. However, primer cannot replace proper skincare or completely change the way a foundation behaves. Your moisturizer, sunscreen, foundation formula and application technique will still affect the final result.
