Soap & Glory Flake Away Body Scrub

If your body skin feels rough, flaky or uneven, Soap & Glory Flake Away Body Scrub is designed to give it a smoother, more polished feel. This exfoliating body scrub combines physical exfoliants including sea salt, sugar and apricot seed powder with conditioning ingredients such as shea butter, sweet almond oil and grape seed oil. The result is a scrub that focuses on both removing surface buildup and leaving skin feeling conditioned rather than simply scrubbed.

It also carries Soap & Glory’s signature Original Pink fragrance, with fresh bergamot, green leaves and mandarin followed by floral notes and a deeper patchouli, oakmoss and musk base.

Detailed Product Overview

Flake Away is a physical body exfoliator, so the smoothing effect comes from its exfoliating particles rather than an acid exfoliation system. The formula contains sodium chloride, sucrose and apricot seed powder, which work together to buff the skin’s surface. Glycerin and conditioning ingredients help make the formula feel less like a simple salt scrub, while shea butter, sweet almond oil and grape seed oil provide a more nourishing finish.

For people dealing with rough body texture, especially on the knees, elbows, heels or legs, this type of scrub can be useful as part of a regular body care routine. It is important to keep expectations realistic, though. A body scrub can remove surface dead skin and temporarily improve how smooth the skin feels, but it is not a treatment for underlying pigmentation, scars or persistent skin conditions.

Texture, Finish and Real Life Experience

Flake Away has a rich, grainy scrub texture designed to be massaged over damp skin. As you massage, the exfoliating grains work across the skin before being rinsed away. The brand recommends massaging until most of the grains are gone, then rinsing thoroughly and patting the skin dry.

The combination of exfoliating particles and emollient ingredients makes this particularly relevant if you dislike the tight, stripped feeling that some salt based body scrubs can leave behind.

The fragrance is another noticeable part of the experience. Original Pink is a fruity floral chypre style scent with bergamot, mandarin, rose, jasmine and violet, finished with patchouli, oakmoss and musks.

Who Is It For?

Ideal for:

• Dry or rough body skin
• Normal, combination or oily body skin that needs exfoliation
• Rough elbows, knees, heels and legs
• Anyone wanting smoother feeling skin before applying body lotion or butter
• People who enjoy fragranced body care

Although the product is listed as suitable for all skin types, the exfoliating particles mean it may not be the right choice for skin that is already irritated, broken or particularly reactive. The product guidance specifically advises avoiding irritated or broken skin because the salt based scrub can sting.

In Bangladesh’s hot and humid climate, you may prefer using a body scrub when your skin feels rough or has accumulated surface buildup rather than scrubbing aggressively every day. Follow with a lightweight body lotion or body butter if your skin needs additional moisture.

Why Customers Choose This Product

One practical reason to choose Flake Away is that it combines exfoliation and conditioning in one body care step. Instead of using a simple sugar or salt scrub and immediately needing several additional products, this formula includes shea butter, sweet almond oil and grape seed oil alongside its exfoliating ingredients.

Its Original Pink fragrance also makes the routine feel more like a fragranced body care ritual rather than a purely functional exfoliation step.

How To Use

Take a handful of Flake Away Body Scrub.
Apply it to damp skin in the shower.
Massage gently in circular motions, concentrating on rough areas.
Continue until most of the exfoliating grains have been worked over the skin.
Rinse thoroughly.
Pat the skin dry.
Follow with a body lotion, body oil or body butter.

A useful tip is to focus on pressure rather than force. You do not need to scrub aggressively to get a smoother feeling surface.

Helpful Buying Context

Can I use it on sensitive body skin?
The product is listed as suitable for all skin types, but it is still a physical scrub containing salt and fragrance. If your body skin is easily irritated, use a gentle touch and avoid irritated or broken areas.

Will it feel moisturising?
It contains shea butter, sweet almond oil, grape seed oil and glycerin, so the formula is designed to condition as well as exfoliate. However, it is still a rinse off scrub, so very dry skin may benefit from a separate body moisturiser afterwards.

Is it good for rough legs and elbows?
Those are exactly the kinds of areas where a physical body scrub can be useful for removing surface buildup and improving the feel of rough skin.
