Give Dull, Uneven Skin a Smoother Look

If your skin feels rough, looks dull, or your makeup is not sitting as smoothly as you would like, The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA can be a helpful addition to your routine. This water based AHA serum gently exfoliates the surface of the skin to improve the look of uneven texture, dullness and uneven skin tone. Lactic acid is generally considered a gentler AHA option than glycolic acid, making it especially appealing for dry skin that wants exfoliation without an overly harsh feeling.

For Bangladesh weather, where heat, humidity, sweat and frequent sun exposure can leave skin looking tired, regular exfoliation can help your complexion look fresher and more refined. It is suitable for a wide range of skin tones, including deeper skin tones that can sometimes look uneven or dull when dead skin builds up.

Benefits

• Helps remove dead skin cells from the surface
• Improves the appearance of rough and uneven texture
• Helps skin look brighter and more refreshed
• Supports a smoother looking complexion
• Helps improve the appearance of uneven skin tone
• Contains hydrating ingredients to complement exfoliation
• Water based and oil free formula

Detailed Product Overview

The main exfoliating ingredient is 10% Lactic Acid, an alpha hydroxy acid that works mainly on the surface of the skin. It helps loosen dead skin cells so they can be shed more easily, leaving skin feeling smoother and looking more radiant over time.

The formula also contains Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, a form of hyaluronic acid that helps support skin hydration. Glycerin and other humectants further help maintain moisture, which is useful when adding an exfoliating acid to a skincare routine.

Another notable ingredient is Tasmannia Lanceolata Fruit/Leaf Extract, commonly known as Tasmanian pepperberry extract. It is included to help support a more comfortable exfoliating experience.

The formula has an acidic pH of approximately 3.8 and is designed as a high strength exfoliating serum. It is alcohol free, oil free, silicone free, vegan and cruelty free.

Who Is It For?

This serum is particularly well suited to dry skin with dullness, rough texture or uneven looking tone. It can also work for combination skin when used appropriately.

It may be worth considering if you want smoother looking skin and a brighter complexion but prefer lactic acid over stronger exfoliating options.

However, this is a 10% AHA formula, so it is not the best choice for sensitive, peeling, irritated or compromised skin. If your skin is already reacting to other active ingredients, keeping your routine simple first is a better approach.

Why Customers Choose This Product

One of the main reasons people choose Lactic Acid 10% + HA is that it combines effective surface exfoliation with ingredients that support hydration. Instead of adding a separate exfoliating toner and hydrating serum immediately, this gives you both exfoliation and moisture supporting ingredients in one lightweight formula.

It is also a practical choice for anyone dealing with the dull, rough looking skin that can become more noticeable in Bangladesh’s hot and humid climate.

How To Use

Apply a small amount to clean, completely dry skin, preferably in the evening.
Start slowly if you are new to lactic acid and allow your skin to build tolerance.
Avoid the eye contour and do not apply to broken or irritated skin.
Follow with a suitable moisturiser.
Use sunscreen during the day, as AHAs can increase the skin’s sensitivity to sunlight.
Avoid using it in the same routine with retinoids, direct acids, direct vitamin C and other strong active combinations that may increase irritation.
